I was quite worried that PCS would be forced to succumb to the economic pressure and we'd see five one-man shows next year or some such thing. I am very pleased with the offerings - and I think the deeply "literary" feel - mixed with some sophisticated musicals is a good bet for the local public.
As a playwright, I am deeply saddened not to see a world premiere of a new play - though I recognize the developmental musical is very exciting. That being said - I'm happy that we have JAW to look forward to - and that by far, PCS has one of the most intriguing 09-10 seasons of any regional theatre in the county (from what I've so far observed.)
