  1. "Pure Pop for Now People" -- an excellent reference to Mr. Nick Lowe -- but no Mr. Nick Lowe in your mix? Blasphemy!

  3. I meant to, Prince -- I was thinking "Cruel To Be Kind," since some critics have called that my theme song -- and the gaffe came to me late last night whilst partway through a new Carly Mensch script about an aging rocker. So I'll amend that today, even though the mix wound up going its own way and became more muzakly moist than about power pop....

  5. OK, Prince, all remedied. And I couldn't help but add a few more tunes in along with Nick Lowe. Hope you like.

  6. "You've gotta be
    cruel to be kind
    in the right measure.
    Cruel to be kind,
    it's a very good sign.
    Cruel to be kind
means that I love you, baby. You've gotta be cruel
    to be kind.
But thank you for your submission."*

*Note: Gentle parody, meant affectionately from one gatekeeper to another.
