Yes. It's incredibly discouraging. But take heart from the fact that Obama actually mentioned gay people in his acceptance speech on Tuesday -- now that's something I never ever expected to hear.
Also it's encouraging that hateful 8 passed by a narrow margin. Remember the previous time this came up in California? That measure passed by an overwhelming 2-to-1 margin. So as dispiriting as it is that so many people aggressively deny others their civil rights, there are far fewer of them than there once were.
I think the jury is still out on god.... But, yes, Barack Obama is president. :)

Prop 8 has destroyed whatever buzz I had. I guess "we" can, but gay people can't. I feel like "that one" now.
