Boal

The great, great theater thinker and practitioner, social activist, and humanitarian Augusto Boal has died. I feel like a great light has gone out of the world. But I also know his legacy will live and continue to affect people profoundly the world over.

He was a mentor, teacher and friend of mine.
You put it well- his life, work and impact will be felt for a long time.
The Annual International Pedagogy and Theater of the Oppressed Conference will be in the Twin Cities in 2 weeks... his son Julian will be there teaching in Augusto's place, and much remembering will happen.

At Sojourn, we're proud to be part of the family his work inspired.
